In case of discoloration, which can not be removed by a professional teeth cleaning, whitening offers itself as a solution.
Before the whitening procedure, there will be, for a start, a thorough assessment of the reason for discoloration.
Inner discoloration may appear already at a young age. General diseases and odontogenesis malfunctions as well as undesirable side effects of particular medicine may also be the cause of discoloration.
Furthermore, tooth discoloration may appear as a result of the emplacement of red blood cell decomposition products in the tooth due to a hit or impact. Equally, the tooth may darken after a root canal treatment.

Depending on the reason of discoloration, there are two methods of how to restore the natural whiteness of your vital teeth.
• Home-Bleaching For home-whitening you will receive a plastic customized splint, which will be filled with a special gel and you will have to wear it at home for one or two weeks, 2-3 hours daily.
• In-Office Bleaching Gums will be protected using light-hardening synthetic materials and hydrogen peroxide will be applied to the surface of your tooth. Desirable whiteness is achieved by exposure of plasma light (Rembrandt Saphir). Thus, colour lightening is guaranteed.
Should the "dead" teeth be whitened, the Walking-bleach-method is applied. |
 |
• When using Walking-bleach-method
the inner cavity of your tooth will be filled with a gel. The gel will stay there for a few days until the aesthetic desirable colour is achieved. This method is, however, applicable only to teeth with root filling.
In order to hinder any undesirable side effects, we observe and control the progress of the treat-ment on a regular basis and, if necessary, we appoint new treatment duration.
