| Our first works outing taking place from October 9 to 12 took us to the exciting, bubbling city of contrasts – to Istanbul. We spent several lovely days there enjoying comfortable temperatures. A breathtaking view over Istanbul from the Bar 360°, visits to the Byzantine Hagia Sophia, the magnificent Blue Mosque and the gorgeous Topkapi Palace as well as a romantic boat trip on the Bosphorus were just some of the highlights of our stay in this extremely multi-faceted metropolis.. |

Fascinating aura at the gate between Orient and Occident created a happy mood quickly. |

The neo-baroque Dolmabahce Palace flaunts with 40 tons of silver and 14 tons of gold leaf for the interior decoration an incredible splendor. |
The Sultanahmet Mosque owes the famous name "Blue Mosque" 21 000 blue and white Iznik-fayence on the arches, columns and domes. |

Also our friend Lorenzo Vanini, a world-renowned dentist, admired Istanbul at night. |

In the futuristic Sky Bar "360° Istanbul" we had the whole city at your feet. |
Because the huge glass fronts revealed a phenomenal view at an angle of 360 degrees. |

| An amusing "Gala Evening" in one of the many night clubs left nothing to be desired. |
Also we did get our money's worth on the prowl for the local delicacies. |

Whether traditional or modern dishes, the food was in Istanbul a very special culinary delight. |
Already the oriental spices and flavours introduced us into raptures. |
